SUMMER OF SERVICE
Summer of Service aka SOS Student Weekend, is a life-changing experience that takes place right in Michiana.
SHOWING GOD’S LOVE IN A REAL & PRACTICAL WAY
Summer Of Service (SOS) is a collaborative effort between area churches and community partnership to impact Michiana with the love of Jesus. We do this through various service projects and kindness activities.
The vision of the SOS Student Weekend movement is two-fold:
To impact the community of Michiana with the life-changing love of God, and to develop a heightened student-community among participants. Our desire is that students will encounter God in a very new way through service and kindness outreach. It’s a fact that youth grow in their faith journey when they put their faith to work for others. What are the ingredients of the powerful retreat? Intimate worship, amazing teaching, creative service opportunities, prayer, group discussion, devotions, and a healthy dose of play!
To impact the geographic community of Michiana with the life-changing love of God and to build a high level of community among 6th-12th grade students.

Over 30 Youth Groups in our area come together as one to participate in the mission of SOS.
NON-PROFITS
We come alongside organizations already doing good every day to give them an extra hand.
COMMUNITY
City Beautification projects happen all over our Michiana community.
LOCAL BUSINESSES
Many local businesses and resturants help make SOS possible each year.

Summer of Service will resume on June 13th-15th, 2024!
Youth Groups with incoming 6th graders through graduating seniors are invited to participate in the SOS initive. Join in on serving and showing God’s love to our Michiana community.
Our host site this year will be Bethel University – giving students the opportunity to develop community within their own youth groups and with other students from Michiana as they stay the night on campus.
